The Dome by Nova Sparks (The Dome Trilogy #1)
English | 2020 | Sci – Fi | ePUB | 2.8 MB
After being rescued moments before Earth is destroyed, Sam and his daughter Emma are shipped away to planet Syri, where they now reside in a dome with thousands of other human survivors. Welcome mats, mailboxes, and breakfast cereal, the dome is a suburban paradise made to emulate Earth in every way… But something feels wrong.
Why did the aliens save them? How did they know about Earth’s fate? And exactly what are they hiding?
The mystery intensifies as Emma forms an unexplainable bond with one of the Syrions; a bond that quickly has Emma sliding deeper into a dangerous attraction. As Sam and Emma search for answers on their own, Emma wonders if she can trust her heart while Sam questions how he’ll be able to protect his family from the very aliens humanity depends on for survival.
If Kay had a different personality, she would probably make a really good girlfriend. To someone. But she can be annoying as hell and her promiscuity is a bit unsettling. I know I’m no one to talk but I also know that I’m not the only sucker she has in her bed, but I won’t be the idiot that changes the sheets, openly inviting the next guy to stain them with his cum. She’s a gorgeous woman, but I won’t even take her in my parents’ same neighborhood, let alone to meet them if they were alive. Besides, I am married, so there’s that, too.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah. I better hear you talking like that the next time you want some of this,” she says while teasing her inner thigh.
“Kennedy!” I yell, confident that I finally remember the name of the guy in my dream.
“Kennedy? What are you talking about? Are you even listening to me? You’re talking dead Presidents while I’m speaking to you?”
“Dead Presidents.” I scoff.
Kennedy doesn’t sound right to me, not as the man’s name, at least. I roll my eyes, tug at my dick, my morning erection already settling down, and then proceed to scoop my clothes up from off the floor before putting them on.
“Hm. Leaving already?” I look over my shoulder at her. “And it only took,” she looks down at her bare wrist, “seven whole minutes.”
She hates that I always leave her house as soon as I’m through with her, so it’s only a matter of time before she tries to get me to stay like she always attempts even though she knows I have to leave by five.
I struggle to put on my work boots as Kay rolls out of bed, sauntering her naked body in front of me. We never talk about the scars that cover most of her torso. The faded burn above her bellybutton. The mark right below her left breast that looks to be the result of a surgery she had many years ago. The obvious deep scar she has hidden beneath a rose tattoo on the right side above her waist. She doesn’t seem ashamed of them, but when I first tore her clothes off, we both acted like they weren’t even there. She keeps things tight. Her caramel skin is smooth otherwise. Kay’s confident in her body as I am with mine, one of the very few things we have in common.
Kay kneels down to grab my boot, but I snatch it off the ground before she can get her hands on it. If she were to get her hands on it I’d have to chase her around the room to get it back and pretty soon she and I would be back on the bed going at it for round three. But I don’t have time for morning sex.
She scoffs and grabs my legs before pushing herself off her knees. Kay leers at me and then sways her hips as she makes her way into the bathroom, leaving a cloud of smoke behind her A clear invitation. As soon as I hear the running water of the shower, I grab the rest of my stuff and bolt out the bedroom door.
