Goodreads User ReviewSUCH a cool book!!! It’s tabletop size with full color pages. It’s divided into six periods of time, with each page a different subject/theme. Some examples are: The written word (photos of various early alphabets and scripts), ancient monuments (Gobekli Tepe-Easter Island Statues), Roman technology (aqueducts-Pantheon), measuring time (sundials-atomic clocks), etc… I could go on and on because every page is so interesting. There are several “story of” pages: the wheel, sports, democracy, philosophy, sculpture, skyscrapers, robotics… Pages cover timelines of chemistry, biology, and physics; aviation, jewelry, medicine, dance, space exploration, and there are also many pages on specific cultures/countries/wars. This is seriously an amazing book!! I won’t hand it over to my kids just yet, as the pages on the French Revolution, Holocaust, and biology have some details they aren’t quite ready for, but I think it will be a really fun read-aloud!
